Privacy Policy

12 STEP TRIVIA is an independent comedy trivia game. It is not affiliated with, approved by, or endorsed by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc. or any 12-step fellowship.

Local gameplay data

The app has no player account and no developer-operated backend. Trivia answers, scores, streaks, settings, question history, daily-game history, free and rewarded play allowances, and unfinished sessions remain in local app storage. The app does not intentionally transmit those gameplay records to the developer, RevenueCat, Google, or Apple.

Reset Progress clears local trivia history but retains the current daily free and rewarded allowance so resetting statistics does not grant extra rounds. Deleting the app normally removes its local gameplay storage.

Current TestFlight beta

The current beta has no live purchases and no live advertising. Full Access purchases are unavailable because RevenueCat products are not configured. The optional rewarded-ad flow uses Google's official test advertising configuration and is initiated only when a tester selects Watch an Ad. Today's Game does not contain ads.

Voluntary rewarded ads

Google Mobile Ads and Google's consent tools are contacted only when a player explicitly selects Watch an Ad or opens Ad Privacy Options. The app requests non-personalized ads and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission merely for advertising.

Non-personalized and test ads can still involve data transmission. Depending on region, consent, device, and SDK behavior, Google may process IP-derived approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, advertising data, ad interactions, consent choices, crash data, performance data, and related diagnostics.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments, and the app does not receive payment-card details. RevenueCat is installed to support a future Full Access entitlement but is not configured in the current beta. If purchases are activated later, this policy will be updated before activation to describe the live purchase behavior.

Permissions

No microphone or recording permission; sounds are bundled local files.
No camera, contacts, photos, calendar, Bluetooth, notification, health, or precise-location permission.
Haptics require no personal-data permission.
No App Tracking Transparency usage description is configured.

Apple TestFlight

Apple distributes the beta through TestFlight. Testers may voluntarily send written or screenshot feedback, and Apple may provide beta crash information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your choices

Rewarded ads are voluntary. Choosing Not Now dismisses ad and purchase prompts. Today's Game, daily streaks, Call Your Sponsor, My Inventory, and Settings do not require payment or an ad.
